This review covers a really cool membership site script which I purchased.  It actually does what the sales page says it will do.  It has some nice extra features and would serve you very well setting up a member site without breaking the bank.

The script is called Viral Mini Sites Script - love the fact that you can use it on unlimited domains (many scripts make you buy multiple licenses if you want to use their scripts on more than one domain, which stinks for the consumer but is great for the vendor’s wallet).  Thankfully, this one is NOT one of those… you buy it once, you get all the upgrades, and you can customize it to your heart’s content.

You also get PDFs with great ideas from the software creator himself on how to put this script to work for you - great ideas I would never have thought of all of them on my own.  You just have to read the page to see everything it can do and if it’s the one you want, I’d hustle… it will go up in price to the full $147 (still worth every buck) once the limitation is reached on the $97 price currently in effect (Feb 2008) and I don’t expect it to last long.

I created a header & footer graphic for my site, opened up my free HTML editor (NVU) and copied and pasted the HTML from the admin area and started ‘playing’ around.  I came up with a nice “look” for my site in a very short time.  For those not artsy, I’m going to include some header & footer graphics as my personal bonus if you order this script using my link instead of someone else’s. 

It’s NOT finished by a long shot… but if you wanna peek at what I’ve gotten done so far just click & visit - it opens a new window so you won’t lose your place: My VMS site beginnings.

You can see it’s still very basic, and I added a help desk graphic & link at the bottom so that people can *always* get in touch with me if they need me.  That’s just part of what I’m doing to customize… it all takes time and I’ve got one of those over-full platters just like you and everyone else I know of these days.  But we persevere!

I’ll keep you updated on my site’s progress here… man, I wish I had a clone of me to put to work for myself!

The products and services that we review here, are things we’ve either used ourselves or we know someone who literally raved about them, or else they don’t get listed here… at least not in the ‘We Commend’ section!  (We will have a We Diss section as the site grows - that’s where the ‘poopy’ products will be listed and why)

This is an exclusive list, totally hand-picked software, ebooks, information products, videos, audio training products.  No junk, no bovine scatology, no fluff and no hype.  If we don’t like something, we’ll post that on the site too, and we’ll tell you exactly why.

And, if we do like something but it’s not quite *perfect* we’ll tell you what it is we don’t like about it, along with what we love about it… because ultimately the choice is up to you, whether or not you want or need it for your particular business or even for your life.  It’s just nice to hear what someone has to say about it in an unvarnished and up-front way.

And yes, since I am a retired RN, there will be health products on this site now and then, because how can you effectively market and work on your business if you feel like ‘warmed over pooh’?  Not very well… so it is apropos to marketing or any other profession to stay as healthy as possible every day of our lives.  It’s our most precious gift.

So sit back and relax and watch this site grow… of course it’s *not* going to be at lightning speed because I have several other ‘irons in the fire’ as the old saying goes, but I’ll do my level best to get it going ASAP.  Just to hold me accountable, this blog was installed 2-15-08 - that way if nothing gets posted by the end of a week… comment, nag me, let me know… please!
