And I was in the midst of some large projects to complete for others – I’m a digital product creation specialist as well as a graphic artist & webmaster. So, because of an over-full platter to which I’m sure you can relate, I just couldn’t do much about it and it just sat… patiently waiting for me to find the time.

This might help someone else… this blog was visible to visitors but the admin area was just a blank white page. I thought I was going to have to hire someone when it hit me that maybe, just maybe the older theme I was using was possibly ‘breaking’ the upgrades to the latest WP scripts… causing me the inability to log into the dashboard.

So, this morning I went into cpanel and renamed the culprit theme and Voila! I was able to get inside the dashboard. Well, that caused a kind of temporary reverse of the problem… clicking “Visit Site” from inside the admin dashboard showed a blank white page as the blog, so then I immediately went into the Themes area and activated a different theme.

Hooray! THAT final action allowed the site to be visible again, and it didn’t break the admin dashboard log in either. I hope this little ‘tip’ helps someone else avoid some hours of research and frustration!

Anyway, it’s good to be back in “go mode” and when I get time to really WORK on this website, I am going to totally update the theme here to one of the gorgeous WP themes I just bought a full year’s membership to last night. It’s only $19.95 a year to gain access to ALL of these feature-loaded, widget-ready and very elegant WP themes.

Once you SEE them and read about all the features, you will instantly know they are far better than having free themes — for one, they are constantly updated (unlike my previous free theme that broke my site) and work with the latest WordPress updates. For two, not everyone has them because they like freebies (so do I but these are so amazing they changed my mind) and for three… you’ll be more unique because you can so easily customize them. Just go look… I think you’ll agree that having elegant, well-designed, WordPress themes really is the way to go! (Plus… they are gorgeous AND ad-ready, widget-ready, gravatar-ready and LOTS more).
